The Menus   The “Apple” Menu   “About GigaCat…” This menu function has an actual function in GigaCat, aside from the normal copyright and owner information, that shows how many Volumes and Files you have in the List that is presently loaded, how many files/volumes are selected and how many estimated Files you have room for. This lets you see how many files you can load with your present RAM capacity (amount of Files gets larger as the RAM is expanded). Keep in mind the more fonts and INITs you have in your system reduces the programs capacity and running under MultiFinder has the same effect. Maximum File capacity is approximately 211,600 files in this version. You might want to make a special boot disk for GigaCat 4.7 that requires minimum RAM to afford the maximum file capacity your Macintosh has space for.   The remaining menu commands are explained in the following chapters.
